Assignment 30A - Final Reflection

Formative Experience:
The most formative experience I have from taking ENT3003 is easily the elevator pitches. Prior to taking this class, I had little to no experience in giving an elevator pitch. I never had a need to learn how to provide a great elevator pitch, yet. After taking this class, I can definitely say that I have plenty of experience in providing a great elevator pitch and I am excited to bring my expertise to real-world experiences. The most joyous experience I have from taking this class was creating my own venture. Thinking about the demands that consumers have was very intriguing and a very eye-opening experience. I am most proud of myself for completing and improving my elevator pitches week by week.

Entrepreneurial Mindset:
After taking ENT3003, I can definitely say that I have developed an entrepreneurial mindset. This class has forced me to think outside of the box and thinking about the needs that consumers have on a daily basis. I can also say that this class has given me the opportunity to learn about becoming a problem-solver. I can honestly say that I think more like an entrepreneur on a daily basis.

Future Students:
A big recommendation I would make for students who are going to take this class is to work ahead. I have countless moments where I did not realize how much time the assignments would take to complete. Time management is key for this class. I would also recommend that the students think outside of the box for their assignments. Get creative and think like an entrepreneur.

Assignment 12A - Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1

Choosing a segment: For this specific assignment, I chose the segment of young drivers. All of the drivers that I interviewed have new cars and they paid extra to get the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto option. These drivers are all college-aged students that mostly travel to campus. These individuals had mostly positive things to say about their experiences. There were some topics that they brought up to make changes to their user experience. Interviews: -        Adrian, 18-year-old college student, has great experience using Apple CarPlay with his iPhone. Since he cannot access all features of his cell phone with CarPlay, he tends to use his cell phone while operating his vehicle. “I wish there was a way to view and access all aspects of my phone while driving. ·       WHO: While completing my interviews, I realized that there are two main groups of people who fall outside of the boundary. One group consists of the elder generation that refuses to learn the technology that comes equipped in their vehicles. I interviewed a 60-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man. Both of these individuals drive new vehicles that are equipped with Bluetooth. Neither of these individuals have even bothered to figure out how the Bluetooth option works in each of their vehicles. Most of these people grew up in an era where technology was never even thought about. They mostly see technology as something that is difficult to comprehend, unless you’re a tech geek.
