James works with the NYSE every single day, so he
would know what people are looking for in the market at this current time

James is one of my best friend’s brothers, so I
was able to contact him and talk to him via FaceTime

is the return expectation:

James was able to tell me that people are mostly
interested in technology nowadays, which made it easy to solidify my business
idea. The return expectation is that I would pay him to work for me on the side.

Including James would help me to look at the market
as a whole and find ways to market my product to people who would be interested

Mimi, Purchaser for a large corporation

Mimi currently purchases lighting supplies for a
corporation and is very successful, she would help me to understand how many
supplies I need to make before I can start selling my product and who I could
sell my product to

Mimi is my aunt, so I was able to call her on
the phone and discuss my business idea with her

Nature of Exchange: What they did for me, what
is the return expectation:

Mimi told me that I would need to start on a
relatively low supply to see how much I am able to sell before my business “takes
off”. The return expectation is that she would work for my business if it were
to actually become a serious business.

Including Mimi would allow me to expand my
selling opportunities to different networks and connect with new sellers and
explore different opportunities

Completing this assignment
allowed me to open up and network to a lot of people. This was new and interesting
because these are all people that would be beneficial to my company and my new
business idea, and allowed me to network to people who have real-world
experiences with the business industry.
