Assignment 19A - Idea Napkin No. 2

·      Who you are. What your talents are. What your skills and experiences are. Also: what are your aspirations? Specifically regarding your business concept, how do you see this business (if you were to start it) playing a role in your life?
o   My name is Alexandra Dorau, but everyone calls me Alex. According to the people that I interviewed, I am determined, I have great compassion, I am trustworthy, I have great communication skills and I am very reliable. My family has been extremely savvy with real estate and business aspects, so I have a great amount of background and real-life experiences. I aspire to be a great business woman who is self-dependent and a very hard worker. If I were to follow through with my business concept, I can see myself working diligently every day to pursue and follow through with my business and grow my network.
·      What are you offering to customers? Describe the product or service (in other words, how you'll solve customers' unmet needs)
o   My product or service will allow individuals to access all aspects of their cellphone on their dashboard computer while they are driving. It will be touch screen and will eventually be compatible with most applications that you use on your device. It will also have a virtual assistant that will be able to complete any tasks that you ask it to.
·      Who are you offering it to? Describe, in as much detail as possible, the demographic and psychographic characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do your customers all have in common?
o   I would like my product to be available to all consumers across the board. I hope to partner with car companies that will want to install my product in their vehicles. My customers would be allowed to connect any device to my product and use their cell phone with ease while they are driving their vehicles. By doing this, I hope to prevent texting-and-driving issues, as well as distracted driving issues.
·      Why do they care?
o   Customers would care to use my product because it would allow them to access and use their phone without having their phone present at all times and would allow for other uses while they are driving their vehicles. Most people know that distracted driving is bad for them, and this would hopefully get more people to switch to my product, rather than Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
·      What are your core competencies? What sets you apart from everyone else? Also: what do you have that nobody else has?
o   Current Bluetooth programs, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, limit the driver to what they are allowed to use while they are driving. This can cause more people to drive while they are distracted. It has created a hassle for most people who use their cell phones all the time. My product would allow driver the opportunity to view and use all aspects of their cell phone at the ease of a tap of a finger.

Feedback Memo:
I do believe that these elements fit together. With my product, I can make people’s lives a lot easier when they are forced to commute to work, school, or drive anywhere. In today’s society, I will be able to connect with customers about the ease of use for my product and prevent people from getting into bad car accidents due to distracted driving. Two main points that I took away from the feedback that I received was the pricing and the compatibility. I will try to make my pricing as cheap as possible for consumers and my product would be compatible with any device.

  1. Alexandra,

What an awesome job on this assignment. You absolutely took to heart what your feedback was from the previous idea napkin and implemented it into your work. I specifically liked when you state that "these elements fit together... I make people's lives easier".
