Assignment 15A - Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2
In each of my interviews, I discovered
that the price of my product would be the largest deciding factor for
customers. When I interviewed Brenda, she discussed that my product would be a
great idea as it would benefit people daily and reduce the amount of accidents
or incidents with people and their vehicles. She recommended that instead of
creating a product for the car itself, maybe develop a product for the cell phone
that restricts usage when it detects that you are in a moving vehicle.
My second
interview was very insightful. While Andrea agreed that price would play a huge
role, she also stated that the accessibility would be very useful. “While many older
people have difficulty using technology, creating something that is user-friendly
for everyone to use would be great, so no one feels intimidated by the use of
new technology.” She also noted that making my product available to almost
anyone would help people who are forced to find other ways to use Bluetooth capabilities
in their vehicles.
The third
interview was very explicit. Lauren wanted something easily accessible without
having to pay extreme amounts of money. Selling my product through different outlets
such as Amazon, in-store, or online, would make it accessible to almost anyone
and would not require a lot of energy or effort.
Overall,
this interview process helped me to understand different perspectives and
opinions based on my product. I feel more inclined to refine my product to help
the customers at all costs. My product has to help people focus on driving
without getting distracted by their cell phones. I am willing to consider creating
an app instead of a software for vehicles. I am also considering my outlets for
sales purposes, including Amazon, the internet, and the App Store.
Hey Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteNice interviews, they were definitely in depth enough to get the information that was required. I formatted my post very similar to how you did yours. I found it to be the most clear and concise way of doing it. I like your conclusion especially because it brings together each important part of the three interviews and ties them all together. Great job over all on this post!
Hi Alexandra! I’m glad you found that the price of your product would be the largest deciding factor for customers, and I understand some of your interviewees’ point about accessibility, since not everyone is as familiar with technology as some people are. An app does seem like a better alternative than a vehicle software, since most people are more likely to know how their phones work than software in more modern cars.
ReplyDeleteHi Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteYour interviews seemed to be very helpful and insightful. I also think the price of a product is a major component for most consumers, so making your product more reasonably priced would be a great way to reach more people. Allowing online store to distribute products would also be a great idea because your product would be able to reach more consumers, helping more drivers.
